I spent years trying to make that work. Niche sites, affiliate blogs, HTML experiments, big ideas that fizzled out…I kept circling something and just couldn’t pin it down.
Then in 2018 I published a notebook on Amazon. Sold one almost immediately while I was doing something else entirely – and something lit up that hadn’t been lit up in a long time.
So I made another one. Then a bunch more. And pretty quickly I realized I didn’t just love creating them – I loved talking about it. Sharing every little thing I figured out, as I figured it out.
That’s still exactly what I do.
Here’s what I’m NOT going to do:
Show you screenshots of income I don’t actually have. Tell you this is easy or that you’ll replace your salary in 30 days. Pretend I have it all figured out.
Because I’ve seen what that does to people. They buy the dream, reality doesn’t match, and they think THEY’RE the problem.
They’re not. There are just a lot of moving pieces to all this – and finding the right combination for YOUR life, YOUR schedule, YOUR creative strengths? That’s the actual work nobody wants to talk about.
So I’m just going to be the friend who actually does this stuff and tells you the truth about it. Over tea. At the kitchen table. Probably in my pajamas. In a messy bun. With my slightly codependent dog, Lola, nearby. ☕🐾
What I actually do:
Low-content books on KDP. Printables. Digital products. Print-on-demand. Newsletters. Blogs. Graphics. I’ve tried a lot of things, kept what worked, and built a real full-time income in part-time hours doing creative work I actually enjoy – from my home, around my family, on my own terms.
No massive team. No ads budget. No bro-marketer energy.
Just a gal with a laptop and a genuine love for the business of creative publishing.
